online immersion
The natural way to connect with your brand community today.
Can there be any question that online communication is the most natural way for people to connect with each other today? You can Google that and text us the answer.
These days we post messages on other people’s pages. We tag their photos and post links to the videos we’ve posted on YouTube. We ‘tweet’ and use our mobile phones to send out a constant flow of texts and pics. And our friends reply with their own stuff and forward our links to their friends.
There has been an explosion of new communication styles that depend on electronic communications and create communities linked together by them. It’s the most fertile field for qualitative research ever imagined – a source of insight second to nothing we’ve ever seen.
We’ve been deeply immersed in this online web, mastering the intricacies of pulling together communities around our clients’ products and services and using all the posting, commenting, photos, video, and mobile communication to become immersed in their customers’ lives as they’re living them. We’ve seen six-month long research schedules compressed into six weeks by leveraging an online community, conducted ethnographies all over the country in the space of a few days, and enabled consumers in ten different states to talk face-to-face via webcam. We’ve kept taps on people’s behavior throughout the day by connecting with them by mobile phone. We’ve meshed qualitative discussions with survey research and followed that up with a group discussion of our hypotheses.
We understand the online world… and the people who live there.
