Consumer Insights Lead the Way for Movano Health’s “Evie Ring”
3:25 pm – 3:55 pm
Monday, October 23
Movano Health is founded on the belief that good health is a fundamental right and has a goal of helping women achieve the energy and strength they need to live well. Having realized that accurate health data on women was lacking and a one-size-fits-all approach to existing wearables wasn’t cutting it, Movano developed a medical grade wearable device designed specifically for women, the Evie Ring.
Before Movano finished development of their first-of-its kind wearable and app, they partnered with C+R Research who developed a multi-phased research program featuring a quantitative segmentation study, a conjoint pricing study, and qualitative focus groups that brought to life the needs, desires, and health goals of all women. The last research phase was a product naming study to ensure that the name resonated with women.
At the end of this journey, the Evie Ring was born, winning 11 “Best of CES” Awards when it was unveiled in early 2023. These awards weren’t just for the great tech but rather a reflection of Movano’s goal to explore their target consumer from all angles and develop a solution that addresses women’s unmet needs.
In this session, you’ll learn:
The importance of identifying white space opportunities in an established market
- The need for women-focused products and technology
- Best practices and benefits of seamlessly integrating qualitative and quantitative research phases
- The importance of trusting consumer insights (especially when stakeholders have a different vision)
